I love late Fall – it’s such a beautiful transition between seasons and the upcoming excitement of the holidays makes it even better. With upcoming holiday parties and activities, I always want to look my best and the cooler temperatures can really wreak havoc on my skin making it dry and dull.
In my non-blogger life, I work as an aesthetics RN and I’ve learned a lot about taking care of my skin. I’m lucky to have access to some wonderful prescription-grade product lines for skincare and makeup. However, there are lots of great moisturizers and serums that are available without a prescription at much better price points.
Here are some of my favorite products to keep your skin glowing all winter long.
Cetaphil Cleanser – my favorite gentle cleanser for removing make-up
Micro-Exfoliating Scrub by Skinceuticals – it’s important to remove dry skin buildup at least once a week in the winter
St. Ives Coconut Oil Scrub – I picked up this moisturizing exfoliator after reading a review in a magazine and I was surprised how much I liked it. At under $7, it’s a steal!
Cerave Skin-Renewing Gel Oil – Hands down my favorite new skincare product that I’ve found this year. At under $25, it really makes me think twice about shelling out for my favorite Skinceuticals or IS Clinical serum.
Skinceuticals Hydrating B5 Masque – Skinceutical is probably my favorite skincare product line out there – it’s pricey, but the products are worth it. This masque and serum makes dry skin glow for hours.
Cerave Skin Renewing Night Cream – this is wonderful moisturizer that compliments a prescription skincare regimen perfectly. I use a Retin-A Micro which is wonderful but SO drying and this cream rehydrates my skin. Highly recommend for anyone on a retinoid or skin-lightening Rx product.
I’ll be putting some of these products to the test later this week when we fly to Colorado, where temps are already in the 30’s – Brrr. I’ll also be posting my full skin-care regimen in the next week or two – so stay tuned.
Thanks for reading & have a great day!
